|
One of prestigious Ivy League
Universities, Brown University agreed to develop a gradual
cooperation with the University of Suwon on December 8, 1992.
During the vacation the University of Suwon will send students
for language training to further student exchange program.

CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY |
|
Sister Relationship
with Chicago State University was established in Aug, 1985.
Both universities agreed to exchange educational information
and materials, faculty members, and students in order to promote
the mutual development of educational programs. Selected students
who show excellent academic performance are given the opportunity
to attend Chicago State University Graduate School. The establishment
of this sister relationship is providing a firm base to broaden
our academic scope. |

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH |
|
On October 12,
1995 one of prestigious universities in the West, the University
of Utah agreed to establish the pre-medical program which
enables students of the University of Suwon to study medical
science in the University of Utah. |

UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY |
|
The University
of Suwon established sister relationship with Utah State University
on Aug. 18, 1992. Dr. Chong Wook Lee, president of the University
of Suwon, and Dr. Ement, president of Utah State University,
agreed to exchange faculty members. As a result, a visiting
professor from Utah State University teaches English at the
University of Suwon. |

UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA (RENO)
|
|
The University
of Suwon agreed to set up sister relationship with the University
of Nevada, one of renowned universities in north-western region
of the U.S.A on October 6, 1995 for various joint researches
and exchanges of students and professors. Upon this agreement,
the University of Suwon pre-medical students are able to study
further at the Medical School of the University of Nevada
every year. |

NANKAI UNIVERSITY |
|
The University
of Suwon established sister relationship with Nankai University
on May 12, 1992. The two Universities agreed to cooperate
for collaborative research projects. The two universities
will also work closely to promote Chinese Language education
in the University of Suwon. |

THE FASHION INSTITUTE OF DESIGN
AND MERCHANDISING |
|
The University
of Suwon established scholar exchange program with a well-known
fashion school in the U.S.A., FIDM, in July 1990 to exchange
professors and students, and various academic programs and
materials. Dr. Lee, president of the University of Suwon,
and Dr. Hornberg, president of FIDM agreed to explore new
frontiers in the fashion business and recent information for
educational excellence. FIDM President Honberg agreed to award
scholarships to selected students from the University of Suwon
and to hold a Fashion Camp. To celebrate the agreement, both
universities together held a fashion show in Seoul in November
1990. |

|
Sister relationship
with Tiajin Medical University, located in Tiajin, China,
was established on September 11, 1997. Tiajin Medical University
agreed to consult the University of Suwon on establishing
a medical school on Oriental medicine. |

|
|
The Beijing Medical
University, located in Beijing, China agreed to promote cooperation
through various exchanges of programs and experts in Oriental
medicine with the University of Suwon. Relationship was signed

|
Relationship was
established on September 24, 1997 to promote a faculty and
student exchange program as well as joint research projects
between the two institutions. |

|
University of
Louisville and the University of Suwon established sister
relationship on April 3, 1998, celebrating the 20th Anniversary
of the foundation of the University of Suwon. They agreed
to promote exchanges in the field of medicine, engineering,
and business administration. |

Sister relationship was established
on June 11, 1999 with Saint Joseph's College, located in Philadelphia,
in the U.S.A. Both institution agreed to exchange professors
and students along with promoting joint research projects.

CALIFORNIA DESIGN COLLEGE |
|
California Design
College and the University of Suwon agreed on the exchange
of students and faculty members and the promotion of joint
research. The agreement was signed on June 21, 1999. |

EDGEWOOD COLLEGE |
|
Edgewod College,
located in Wisconsin in the USA, and the University of Suwon
set up sister relationship on April 30, 2001. They agreed
to promote the excange of professors and students as well
as joint research projects. |
