Amaranth Hall is constructed in September 2001 to promote students' welfare and convenience. It is a building with four stories above and two stories under the ground, having a total floor space of 8250 square meters. Fitness Center with ultramodern equipments, computer rooms connected with superhigh speed internet network, a pocketball room, and auditorium are located on the lower level. Students' dining room with the capacity of 400 seats, a snack corner with 30 seats, and a lounge are on the first floor. Luxurious faculty dining room, and seminar rooms are located on the second floor. Various exhibition rooms and seminar rooms are on the third and fourth floor. Amaranth Hall, which is named after ?ermanently full-blossomed flower? is a place where students and faculty members take a rest for replenishment.
 
     
   
     
 
Lecture Hall stands six stories above and one story under the ground, having a total floor space of 16,500 square meters. It is scheduled to be opened at the end of the year 2002. It will have ultramodern lecture rooms equipped with multi media facilities, lecture rooms in tiers, seminar rooms, and a resting room for faculty members. Students' dining room, a booth, a bank, and a student service center are supposed to be located on the lower level. Bilateral on-line education will be available through interactive multi media education system, intramural computer network, and VOD server. Intensive language training will be available through lecture rooms only for students majoring in foreign languages, a Audio/Video Library and a room accessible to satellite broadcasting.
 
 

 
 

 
     
 
Main Library has a seating capacity of more than 5,000 and a total floor space of 17,228 square meters. It was originally established in the place where the Liberal Arts building is located. As Suwon University got expanded in the number of colleges, faculties and students, the present Main Library was newly constructed and opened on May 25th, 1992. Main Library, with CCTVs on every levels of the building, houses a total of one million volumes. It is divided into two: the one is study(non-research) area and the other is research area. Admission to study area located on the first and second floor is open to everybody, but research area can be accessed only through B.D.S on the third floor. Research area, which is located on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floor, houses various materials available for research of undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty members. All book stacks are on open access. Gaining a fast access to materials is available through internet. Electronic library established in September 1997 contains CD-ROMs, microfilms, A/V materials, and has an access to satellite broadcasting system. The inter-library loan service, VOD, and special information service are available in Main Library as well.
 
     
   
     
 
Kowoon Institute of Technology Innovation (KITI) is designed to contribute to national development of advanced technology through R&D in applied sciences and advanced engineering areas. KITI opened in September, 1998, is located at the campus of the University of Suwon with the area of about 18,000m2. Its building consists of one basement and eleven floors. Thirty professors of 7 administrative teams along with 200 professors of 7 research groups provide intensive supports for enrolled companies. The companies can occupy ample rental space and also share opportunities to carry out technical R&D projects with professors assigned under governmental grants, if approved. Highly valuable laboratory instruments and fabrication machines can be shared together, which may make the enrolled companies more competitive and efficient. Three huge halls equipped with advanced audio visual facilities are also available so that international conferences and/or seminars can be held by enrolled companies.province.
